604 Foodtography

I’m a little late to this, last week was super busy and I haven’t had the time to sit down and just clickity-clack this entry.

We started the night off with Sean trying to impress Heather with some magic tricks, but to no avail. Keep practicing!

The night was very cheesy, as Sean had some dishes prepared with very corny lines, such as this “Apple of my eye salad”.

Oh the extent to which foodies will go to take pictures of their food.

The main attraction tonight was Travis Bernhardt, magician extraordinaire.

Exactly what is a hawthorn branch?

Utilizing the crowd, she asked everyone to search up the meaning of hawthorn branches.

“In Arabic erotic literature, hawthorn is regarded as an aphrodisiac because the flowers presumedly smell like aroused women. This is also why the hawthorn was sacred to Hymen or Hymenaeus, the Greek God of the marriage chamber. “

The classic “I’m going to the washroom” a.k.a. “I’m going to phone my best friend and talk about this date” move, except she’s in the wine cellar.

Some great crowd interaction with this magic trick. I still can’t figure this one out..!

Bangers and mash, because you’re my “peach”. I see something totally different.

What kind of fruit would you like to see? Peach? Nope. Lime!

otherwise this trick would have turned out a lot different.

One more crowd trick that I thought was hard to pull off, way too many variables to control, too many choices..

but it still worked for me!

At the end of the night, Heather finally proposed to Sean..

and of course, he said yes. Happy ending? No, there’s still two more episodes!

Last course, a small tart. Not too sweet and I thought a great way to finish off the night.
