What, another $5.95 menu? Kevin you can’t possibly be that cheap..! Well, I could be, but the reason for this visit was because I was already on Granville street watching some good old street hockey, one of many events that were happening for the 1st Anniversary of the Olympics (ReLive It). After another session of standing around in the rain I once again found myself looking for food. Good thing I spotted The Moose the night before when I visited The Factory.
Most, if not all, of these cheap menu places seem to reside on Granville street, and they’re really not that bad for a night of drinking combined with cheap eats. Decent pub fare without the price gouging that some others in town will pull off, but of course service will be a hit or miss. From the reviews on Yelp, it seems pretty decent though .
It was just after 3, and I wanted something fast out of the kitchen so I could make my way down to the Olympic Cauldron for the relighting ceremony at 4pm.
Crispy Chicken Caesar Wrap $5.95
Crispy chicken pieces, romaine lettuce, bacon, parmesan cheese with caesar dressing
Though not as packed full as say the White Spot version (which would be my personal favourite), for only $6 it’s good value for the price indeed.
I had a beer to go along with it, but I don’t remember what it was.. probably an Alexander Keith’s.
Open till late, I wonder how busy Sundays actually are with the steak & prawn special?
