Went for lunch with some classmates. I’m currently at VSBM for the Spa Therapy Program. It’s been an awesome experience so far, even though it is pretty intense as it’s 40hr weeks. When I finish at the end of January, I’ll be a certified bodyworker / massage practitioner. From then, I’ll look towards going to school either at Utopia Academy or WCCMT to further my education and get the RMT certification. Really, it’s only necessary in BC for insurance/claiming purposes, but might as well do it cause I’m really enjoying what I learn right now.
Anyways, that’s just a little bit more about me that’s not included in the About page. So we went to MoMo Sushi, which is a short walk from our school. Line up was nuts while waiting
Though for our party of 6, a table quickly cleared up and was available. Yay.
4 of us ordered combos, and the others ordered individual items. The salad and miso soup come with the combos.
Isa got a Salmon Roll & Yam Tempura Roll.
Look at how many pieces of Yam Tempura are in this roll! The size of it was huge, similar to the size of the House Roll found at Samurai Sushi.
I got the Box C, comes with 6 Sashimi, Chicken Teriyaki, 3 California Roll, Assorted Tempura, Ebi Sunomono, & Rice.
For under $10, this was a very satisfying lunch. The sashimi was fresh and not mushy (read, frozen)..which was the most important part of the meal for me. The others were fine, nothing exceptional, nothing bad. When we returned to class, I was constantly dozing in and out…food coma!
