Posh Sukiyaki Hot Pot – Broadway

This is going to be a quick and dirty post. My first experience at Posh was way back in 2007 when they opened in Richmond. At that time, I thought it was awesome, I mean AYCE hotpot for $13..and this was DINNER TIME! Since then, (aka highschool) my taste has changed. I rarely eat at AYCE places for a lot of reasons, quality, taste, etc..

Oh well, since it was a VDL dinner/meeting, and the fact that I haven’t had AYCE for more than a year, I decided I could swallow this once.

Not going into too much detail, there’s beef and pork, lots of vegetables and assorted, and..oh they now have rock cod.

I didn’t try the rock cod, it was a sashimi sized slice and came on the plate with all the vegetables.  Not food safe at all!  What a big no no. Posh is easy to understand, you get a pot of “sukiyaki broth” with lots of cabbage to start, and then the meat and vegetables keep coming.  Reason why I have quotes is cause….well it’s not truly sukiyaki, it’s just a stripped down basic hot pot.

I think Posh is decent enough if you’re hungry and don’t want to spend lots…but then again I can think of other places where I can get a filling dinner for the same price. Anyways, going off topic…I’m just slightly to the “don’t like” of Posh, because this type of dining just doesn’t appeal to me anymore.

So much for quick and dirty post, I never seem to have a short post. Damnit!

I agree, POSH was never really my thing. The meat wasn’t super great. I felt that everything in that pot tasted the same :S
