I’ve been eyeing Burger Heaven for a while now, ever since KimHo posted about it, which is a lonnnng time ago, back in November! That and the fact that I could always spot it from the skytrain when I go to school, I don’t understand why I didn’t go earlier.
Since my sister lives in New West, she clipped out coupons for 2 for 1 (up to $10 value) so we decided to meet for dinner. What is this, $11 pitchers of Russell from Fri-Sun? That’s pretty awesome, I can see myself coming here again and again. Oh right…I’m here for the food with my family.
The interior is tacky and outdated. The walls are filled with pictures of past patrons, and even the tables have been covered with them. It’s not to say bad, it’s just got its own distinct feel and atmosphere to it.
Now the food.. I arrived later with my parents so Cee and John had gotten started with a poutine and a pitcher of beer.. which I didn’t take a picture of. My dad had the Buffalo burger, one of their featured burgers for $15.99. Came with a full side of wedges and salad. I had a bite of it and it was really juicy!
My moms Teriyaki Mushroom Burger.
My own Kangaroo burger, also a featured burger for $15.99. Straight up, I could not believe this burger. It had a fried egg, bacon, cheese, and a pickled beet inside. My fully extended jaw could only bite down half of the whole thing. I finished off the salad and burger, didn’t want to attempt touching the fries. Did I mention I felt like I was going to die because I was so full? The patty was dry, I don’t know if that’s because it’s Kangaroo or if it was just overcooked, but I wouldn’t be able to know anyways..since I’ve never had kangaroo…
Cee’s Bacon and Cheddar burger, $11.99 with sub onion rings.
John’s “The Works” burger. Cheddar, Mozzarella, Bacon & Mushrooms with Dill Pickles, “A Heavenly Meal at a heck of a deal.” $14.39. Judging from how I didn’t finish my bigger burger, I think I’ll stick with the regular burgers next time.
My Kangaroo burger fully stacked, vinegar bottle beside it to show some size comparison.
The Works burger in John’s hands..
Finally the bill. Around $90 for 5 people with two “2 for 1 coupons up to $10″.
