Huang’s Beef Noodle has been in the Fraserview neighbourhood for more than 10 years.. and serves up great beef noodle. I should know, I’ve been going here ever since I was in elementary school and continued going throughout high school since it was nearby. They’re open everyday till 8pm, and closed on Mondays.
They recently got a new awning, the old one was definitely showing its age.
Platter plate, marinated egg, seaweed, and tofu. $5.50. There’s two different platter plates posted on the wall, but they’re in Chinese. Good thing I memorize it! The other one has meat, pigs ear, and another meat for $7.
What you should be coming here for, their Beef Noodle in Soup… This is #2 on the menu, just the regular but they also have a spicy version. A regular bowl is pretty satisfying and filling, but if you’re hungry you could go for a large for a dollar more. While the soup base and meat isn’t the type you would see at No. 1 Beef Noodle House, it is equally as delicious. I always finish the bowl to the last drop.
Perhaps it’s just my nostalgia and childhood, but nothing can beat going to Huang’s for a bowl and a chat with the owners.
They of course have other food, all Taiwanese favorites, such as deep fried pork chop/chicken leg, meat sauce on rice, etc. There’s appetizers and drinks on the other side of the menu.
