I’ve been having a craving for fried chicken the last couple weeks, and I finally satisfied it one day after school with friends. Drove to Richmond for lunch at L.A. Chicken, something that I saw posted up at FiveLoaves.
It’s not that far of a drive for me, just cross the Knight Street bridge and it’s at Cambie & No. 5. They have lunch combos as you see below, and all come with fries, gravy and a drink. You have your choice of spicy or regular chicken.
We all got a 2 piece (spicy) chicken combo.
The spicy wasn’t spicy, not like tongue numbing spicy. There was a noticeable hint of it though. The chicken was soooo succulent, juicy and full of flavour. It also wasn’t very oily, which I appreciated. The gravy that came with it was like liquid crack, I was this close to drinking the rest of it after I finished all the fries. Oh yea, the fries are good too, similar to A&W fries.

Agreed! If it wasn't because it is located in the middle of nowhere… (even for Richmond standards!)

I love L.A. Chicken! Nice picture of the chicken because it looks juicy in the picture! Gravy is like liquid crack… LOL! Only foodies would refer to food in that way! Eating is our drug…

There's alot of people hooked to their chicken. Its pretty busy during lunch time. The eating area is small and lots of people ordering take out. Use to be a branch in Burnaby, but it closed down.

While we were there, there was a lady who came in and just bought some of their gravy. Just that small little styrofoam thing! I knew it was liquid crack..
