Last Wednesday was Canada Day. I have a very bad lag with my posts, as I take nearly a week to post about it. Reason is I just have stuff to do and I’m lazy, everything builds up and then I just don’t want to work on it at all. Maybe I need someone to help pick up the slack here…
Anyways, with a day off in the middle of the week and an early low tide at 730am, my friends and I decided to go skimboarding. Only there was one problem when we reached Spanish Banks. It was way too windy to do anything, and getting wet while it’s windy is not pleasant. So we went for breakfast. There isn’t much open at 8am nearby that I could think of, so we decided to go to White Spot on W. Broadway.
This is the first thing I saw as I walked in the door, and how I wished it was past 11am. If only they would make this for breakfast, what better way to start the day then this combo!? Beer and burger for breakfast….that’s my kind of breakfast. White Spot, you better start making this available in the morning. Sad thing is this offer ended on July 2nd, 2009.
Kevin and Steph got the Hearty Breakfast. I’m about 80% sure about this, so if I’m wrong, sorry! 2 eggs, 2 bacon strips, 2 sausages, 2 french toast slices, and hashbrown. $9.99 I think.
Same thing, just that the 2 eggs were substituted for 2 extra sausages.
I couldn’t have my burger, so I made up for it by getting something that’s as close as possible. The Original Sunny Start Combo. Fried egg, cheese, Triple O sauce, relish, and I substituted the bacon for Canadian back bacon. Comes with hashbrowns, and only for $6.99. Delish, cheap, and hearty!
They broke my egg.
The bun was toasted, so slightly crunchy but still soft inside. I think the way that White Spot prepares their hashbrown is awesome.Carmen got the frittata… and substituted her hash browns for a side of fruits instead. It looked pretty small, and I wondered how it was. $8.99 I think.
Do any of you remember when their logo used to be the chicken with the spoon and fork? Excuse the extremely pixelated picture, but now you know that’s old, from the 90′s!
