Food and photography in Vancouver, BC

Rouxbe is a site that contains a lot of videos, showing you exactly what you would experience in an actual cooking school, but online! Another great thing about this site is that it’s made in partnership with a local cooking school, the Northwest Culinary Academy of Vancouver (link).
With their videos, you can learn how to select the best cut of beef, how to make a proper omelette, poach an egg, make sauces and much more.
There’s also recipes, both video and text, drill-downs which explain techniques and terms, and a very helpful community/forum.
Sign up now and get a free 30day upgrade to their full membership. Cooking school lessons and video recipes are only available to full memberships.
This site has been such a great distraction for me while I’m studying for my upcoming midterms. Study one unit, take a break and watch one lesson. I’m going to be mighty sad when my free 30day premium membership runs out, maybe someone (or all of you) can gift me a lifetime membership
?
Offtopic: Yea, I haven’t posted in a while, but once again, it’s midterm season! I have to remember never to take a summer semester, ever. I will have a couple posts up soon, I hope. Lots to write about and say.
