I’ve only been to Well Tea a couple times before this visit, only to get some bubbletea. After reading Chowtimes review and seeing the spicy AAA beef hotpot, I wanted to try it so bad. Good thing my ultimate team was hungry after our first game of the season, so I suggested we eat here after.
Appetizers first, so I got crispy chicken. Yan su ji. mm….this was pretty good, lots of meat. I find every place’s batter is slightly different. Some are spicy and some are salty.
I ordered the Spicy AAA beef hotpot, and when it came, the spicy oil just wafted straight to my nose. I had a lot of trouble finishing this….just way too spicy. No picture of it sorry, they were blurry. I think the spiciness affected me. ..haha. It was damn good though, for the price lots of slices of beef, veg’s and extra stuff inside.
Couple of my friends ordered the spicy pork blood with pig intestine hot pot. Tried a bit of it and it wasn’t as spicy, I should have gotten that. Yum pork blood!
Food was good, and the service wasn’t bad, nor was it astounding, but it is a Chinese (Taiwanese) restaurant afterall.
