Save On Meats Coffee Shop

I had so much food today it’s ridiculous.
I’ll start with breakfast/brunch.

Started off by going to Save on Meats Coffee Shop for burgers.

Watching him cook/flatten the hand rolled burgers.

Victor didn’t want an actual burger and got a breakfast combo.
Burger patty, hasbrowns, 2 eggs, toast.

Kevin and I both got the bacon and cheese burger.

Another view. $5.50, tax included.

Better hurry and try their burgers.. or the food. Save On Meats is closing this March, and that leaves the fate of the coffee shop up in the air.

I don’t know the exact date, but it’s been confirmed on Georgia Straight and other blogs such as I’m Only Here for the Food!

Love the seating arrangement, reminds me of the Yoshinoya (beef bowl) joints in Japan. What kind of glass did you use for that top image, looks really wide angle…

Ah, thought it looked familiar! I’m a proud user of the Tokina 11-16 f2.8 myself.
What glass did you use to shoot the other images in this set?

The way the seats are set up makes for an interesting dining experience.
The first time I went, we sat across an old guy who was very demanding, a couple hipsters beside him. Beside us sat two construction workers, and behind us some office workers.

An ultra wide angle lens of course. Tokina 11-16 f2.8 on my Canon 30D. :)

My newly bought Tamron 28-75. Used it for the picture of the wings at Phnom Penh.
