No. 1 Beef Noodle House
- http://www.dinehere.ca/restaurant.asp?r=1583
It’s hard to find parking for this restaurant, and if you arrive during dinner times, you’ll have to wait. Go early or late to beat the rush.
To me, I think it’s one of the more truly authentic Taiwanese Beef Noodle places around in the GVRD.
I can’t recommend anything else besides the Beef Noodle, I always get a variation of it when I go [regular, spicy orĀ tomato soup].
The picture makes it look small, but it’s quite filling actually.

Service – It’s easy to flag down a server, unless it’s packed.
Food – authentic beef noodles, can’t say much about the other food.
Overall – 8.5/10

I have tried for several Friday nights to go to this place and every single time the parking lot was full despite it was already past 10:00 p.m. Based on your, and other’s, post I guess I will have to find a way to have a meal here!
And, oh, If you like this place, you should try Lao Shan Dong, in Kingsway and Nelson, across Metrotown.

After 10pm is when all us young kids will go! They close at 12 or 1am on Fri/Sat I think though..
I go either at 4-5pm, or if I end up going late I just end up waiting.. park further up Moscrop and walk down. You’ll need the walk back later when you’re full.
Lao Shan Dong is good too, but a bit more pricey.
I also like Accord Food House.. makes me feel like I’m at home.
There’s a lot of places I’ve been, just never took pictures before.. now it’s just an excuse for me to visit again. haha.

I had a positive experience at No.1 last fall, the beef noodles were well done. I do need to check out this Accord Food House, sounds promising!

You’ll have to phone ahead to Accord Food house to check their hours, as I didn’t see it posted on their door.
EatSnapRepeat has the only review of it so far, but I’ll have one up soon when I make my way there.

Just went here today… You’re right, they are some very tasty noodles. Parking is terrible though, I had to park at the back and walk through the woods to get to the place. But it was worth it. I thought the beef was very good, big pieces and very soft.
